Re-branding Google AdWords and DoubleClick in Google Ads

Re-branding Google AdWords and DoubleClick in Google Ads

Today Google AdWords officially updates its promotional products and introduces a new rebranding.
Now there will be Google Ads (Google Advertising). In this case, it’s not just a change of sign. Old Google services will replace the more functional marketing platform and advertising manager.

Services for attracting new audiences:

  • Google Advertising – contains everything that was in AdWords, plus automated smart campaigns;
  • Google marketing platform – service for analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns, share planning and interaction with customers, the result of the merger of DoubleClick platforms and Google Analytics 360;
  • Google Advertising Manager (Google Ad Manager) – a single service for managing advertising campaigns, the result of the merger of the DoubleClick Ad Exchange and DoubleClick for Publishers platforms.

New platform

First, the name and logo. From now on, this will be Google Advertising with its logo in the interface, Help Center, payment documents, etc.

Secondly, the address. The account URL will change from adwords.google.com to ads.google.com, and the Help Center address is from support.google.com/adwords to support.google.com/google-ads.

And thirdly, opportunities – and this is the most important thing, for which it was worth changing the brand. The company combined all the features of Google sites and partners in one service: advertising on search, in networks and video advertising.

You can place ads on search engines, on YouTube and partner sites.
